A word about my book covers. Gentleman of Fortune and One Small Candle covers were designed by Laura Wright LaRoche, LLPix Photography at www.llpix.com but I wanted to make my own designs, so for For the King, Rebellion, and Over the Sea to Skye I set about designing my own. I have to confess this was a money-saving initiative and not because I was dissatisfied with Laura's achievements.
In the course of working on the elements for my covers, I rediscovered my passion for art. On the cover for Over the Sea to Skye, you can see four faces, which I drew myself. The back ground is my own photograph. I also painted the picture of the pirate on the cover of Gentleman of Fortune which Laura incorporated into the cover design. As my art has expanded, I thought it would be nice to display some of my creations here.
